The original "Coach" was a great show. Loved every season. I just don't think they could top it. Plus the principal characters are either much older now (Hayden), would be written out (Christine) or are dead (Luther). Better to leave well enough alone and revel/bask in the greatness that was "Coach".

I hate all "reboots" to be honest and I agree with you; they should just leave well enough alone. That goes for every show.

Agreed. Good thing Coach Reboot did not completely happen though.

I'd like to see a book about the show with the cast, writers, producers, and directors memories of working on the episodes. All I've ever heard are bits and pieces of stories about the show. A book would be enjoyable.

They did shoot the pilot for the reboot show, after NBC execs saw it and really not liking how it turned out they scrapped the whole project. I’d still like to see that pilot just to see how it turned out and why exactly the execs didn’t like it. I’m kind of surprised it hasn’t leaked out onto YouTube yet. Give it time!

It would of bombed simply because it would of aired on NBC post 2004. Enough said. NBC sitcoms have been mostly unwatchable the last 15 years With the exception of a few.

In a reboot, why would Christine be written out? Just curious.

Shelley Fabares has had serious health problems in recent years, so likely she wouldn't be able to commit to a series as Christine.

I'm a new fan of "Coach", believe it or not, never saw an episode before this year, that stretch of years included very little television time or the time it aired just never fit my schedule.

Read of the ill fated revival, and to be honest it would have been terrible (or lackluster at best) without Jerry Van Dyke and Christine, two essential parts of the mix in my opinion.
