I can't stand shows like Leave it to Beaver and Andy Grittith, but a lot of folks collect them and they are still wildly popular today. Restless 10-25-2002, 05:55 PM I'm pretty sure those videos were released shortly after "Forrest Gump" was a huge success.. It is true, that if it wasn't for Tom Hanks, and the vast amount of popularity he's accumulated over the years, this show would have been left in the dark years ago. In all honesty, if he has another blockbuster at some point, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this did end up getting DVD treatment.. Everyone loves to check out where it all started for big names in Hollywood.. As for my personal opinion of the series; Tom and Peter Scolori played well off one another, and could be pretty funny with what they had to work with.. I think it had potential, but there were too many things that simply weren't funny, and a lot of the jokes are now dated. |
