View Full Version : Something coming to Antenna TV...any guesses? Svenfan1234 11-07-2019, 10:02 PM Antenna TV posted these pictures on Facebook/Instagram: 246863 246864 246865 246866 Any guesses as to what this could be? MikeLutton 11-07-2019, 10:52 PM hope it not another original show treky 11-08-2019, 03:01 AM frankly I don't care WHAT Antenna TV shows since I won't watch them again until they stop that credit crunch. And since they're doing it to save money because their parent company-Tribune-is in chapter 11; unfortunately it won't stop anytime soon:(. And since they're doing it to save money because their parent company-Tribune-is in chapter 11; unfortunately it won't stop anytime soon:(. Same here. This channel has gone to the dogs Svenfan1234 11-08-2019, 11:30 AM Just Shoot Me? Not a bad guess. It is from Sony, after all, where Antenna gets most of their shows from. Suppose we'll find out soon enough. Svenfan1234 11-08-2019, 11:32 AM ...and it figures that the credit crunch haters who derail about every thread here would attempt to derail it with nonsensical whining about the credit crunch. The point of this thread is to talk about what those pictures mean, not anything else. I was thinking the same thing , here comes the complaining about credit crunches anytime Antenna is mentioned!! Bonniegirl 11-08-2019, 01:19 PM Antenna TV posted these pictures on Facebook/Instagram: 246863 246864 246865 246866 Any guesses as to what this could be? I haven't a clue! Very interesting ! ;) Svenfan1234 11-08-2019, 01:19 PM I know , right? Bonniegirl 11-08-2019, 01:27 PM I was just hoping this thread wouldn't get derailed so we could try to figure out what those pictures meant, besides the last two obviously being Andy Warhol. That happens everytime a thread about Antenna comes up ! :D Anyway I was just thinking, was there any sitcom that had to do with an art gallery, an artist or photographer? Svenfan1234 11-08-2019, 01:29 PM That happens everytime a thread about Antenna comes up ! :D Anyway I was just thinking, was there any sitcom that had to do with an art gallery, an artist or photographer? Alan Brady's Hair suggested Just Shoot Me, a sitcom from the late 1990s which had to do with photography. That could be it, but I wouldn't think it would fit the bill for "something exciting coming." From 1985 to 1987 he actually had a talk show called " Andy Warthol's 15 minutes" ! It originally aired on MTV ! Could that be it? ;) Svenfan1234 11-08-2019, 01:36 PM I just googled Andy Warthol TV and came up with something it might be ? From 1985 to 1987 he actually had a talk show called " Andy Warthol's 15 minutes" ! It originally aired on MTV ! Could that be it? ;) That sounds interesting. I guess we won't really know until they actually announce it! icecream 11-08-2019, 02:37 PM I don't know where these pictures came from, but I checked Antenna TV's Facebook posts from this week and they don't have anything like these pictures posted. Bonniegirl 11-08-2019, 02:38 PM A long shot would be Love That Bob/The Bob Cummings Show from the 50s, about a photographer. It'd probably be a 5 am show. That would be cool, but hopefully on at a good time slot! ;) Ann B Davis was in that right? Svenfan1234 11-08-2019, 03:54 PM I don't know where these pictures came from, but I checked Antenna TV's Facebook posts from this week and they don't have anything like these pictures posted. These are from their Instagram, not Facebook. But you can see them by clicking the Antenna TV logo on their Facebook page. That's how I did. Svenfan1234 11-08-2019, 03:58 PM OK, the pictures are apparently no longer available by clicking their profile pic. But they are legit, if anyone's wondering. JMFabiano524 11-08-2019, 04:45 PM I know , right? I was thinking the same thing , here comes the complaining about credit crunches anytime Antenna is mentioned!! All I'll say is Antenna keeps dodging the issue, while Buzzr was honest with its fans. It asked us if we'd accept crunches on the station. When the people said no, they did not proceed. (they do cut out the "some departing contestants..." plugs instead, but...) As for Andy Warhol...he loved daytime TV apparently. There's recordings he made of game shows and etc. in the Paley Center. So, hmmmm.... Bonniegirl 11-08-2019, 05:27 PM Yes, as Schultzie. I thought so!! I remember watching this show before, probably on the old Nick at night when they used to show really cool old shows! :)I liked it , hoping Antenna does start showing it!! :) Also Felix Unger was a photographer! Maybe it will be The Odd couple coming ! ? ;) Duster76 11-08-2019, 06:46 PM I agree with Svenfan1234 and Bonniegirl, yeah we get it, so noted, whatever, some folks don't like the credit crunch, if that helps make ends meet, it's fine, not a big deal. rcbrad 11-08-2019, 08:41 PM I agree with Svenfan1234 and Bonniegirl, yeah we get it, so noted, whatever, some folks don't like the credit crunch, if that helps make ends meet, it's fine, not a big deal. Yes. I do not like them either, but it would not keep me from watching shows that I want to see. To each their own though, if credit crunches are intolerable enough to not watch Antenna TV at all, then I guess it is a good idea to stay away. Life is too short to subject ourselves to things that are too upsetting for us. :) treky 11-09-2019, 02:45 AM I know , right? I was thinking the same thing , here comes the complaining about credit crunches anytime Antenna is mentioned!! DAMN right!! stevea 11-09-2019, 08:02 AM Bob Cummings' show has been out of circulation for years, but yes, he was a photographer. Ann B. Davis, Dwayne Hickman, and Rosemary De Camp were on there. Bringing this show up to broadcast standards would probably be a challenge. Also I really doubt they'd hype it like that for a 5 am candidate. It's owned by Universal. Just Shoot Me was on local TV here, but was discontinued when the new season started. It could mean the local station lost the rights. This one is more likely (IMO). |
