How do you think Mr. Drysdale would have treated the Clampetts if they became broke? He obviously wouldn't be kissing up to them all the time, but do you think he would at LEAST be decent to them? Or would he be as cold as his wife was to them?

In one of the TV movies, Jed did lose his share of the family fortune. Drysdale stole it, and spent the rest of his life in jail! Jed moved back to the hills.

It's been a while since I saw that movie...I think it was the one made in the 80s. So did Jed finally find out what a immoral person Mr. Drysdale was?

I liked Drysdale in the early episodes, he was greedy but was still human to an extent and it seemed it was really fond of the Clampetts to an extent...but in the later episodes he lost ALL morality. I think Miss Jane could have had him in prison on several occasions for the things he made her do

ONE of the TV movies? There was only one-1980s "RETURN OF THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES . You're talking about a 1992 special on CBS that gave an "update" on what became of the Clampetts. (it was made to coincide with a THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES theatrical movie-and the movie was HORRIBLE)
