I JUST WANNA ASK WERE THESE SUPPORTING CHARACTERS
NECESSARY?
IN MY OPINION THEY WERE'NT

EMILY MAHONEY-JENNY O'HARA
KELLY AFFINAD0-PAMELA SEGALL(MY LEAST FAVORITE)
KEVIN METCALF-RYAN CASSIDY
GEORGE BURRNETT-GEORGE CLOONEY
ANDY MOFFET-MACKENZIE ASTIN
PIPPA MCKENNA-SHERRIE KRENN
IN MY OPINION THE MAIN CAST WAS TALENTED ENOUGH TOO CARRY THE SHOW WITHOUT THEM.

WHATS YOUR OPINION?

Look at the letter A on the keyboard.. right next to it on the left is a button, press it.

Of the ones you listed I liked, Miss Mahoney, Andy, and Pippa. I liked that they were a part of the series.

This was a show about girls! They should have never added Andy. He made no point to the show. George could have been necessary if he was a boyfriend to one of the girls. I would have liked to see him with Jo. The guy Jo married at the end was UGLY! Pippa was alright I didn't mind her. The only characters I really like that were added to the show are Jo and Beverly Ann.

Of course they can add Andy. I really had no issue with him. He seemed to fit in.

Please do.....

And I liked Pippa and George.....no one else.

Anyone hear that rumor that Ryan Cassidy was really Bin Laden?

The whole point of the supporting characters was to have some interaction with others than the main core of the four girls and Mrs. Garrett. There wasn't much involvement with the other students at Eastland or Langley without it becoming a "mob" like with the first season. So they added some secondary characters for comic effect. Kind of like a subplot. It's not the MAIN plot, but something to give you the idea that other things were going on, and there were other people in town or at school that had some effect on the girls.

So does anyone think George Clooney has forgiven Facts of Life for firing him from the show?

Why should he even care anymore?

Anyway, I think the supporting characters were okay, especially Andy because I thought he was a good addition to the cast. The only ones I didn't really like were Kelly and Pippa. They could have done without them!

No, because when asked about being in the reunion, he said something along the lines of "They fired me, so screw 'em"

Man give Beverly Ann a chance! She was funny! She was a great addition to the show. Can you honestly tell there wasn't one episode with Beverly Ann that didn't make you laugh? Also didn't that reunion suck to most fans?

I thought the reunion did suck but all that matters is- if you like the show it self-then dont worry about the crappy reunion.

:talk: Anyways- I dont know about Andy- I mean he was just sorta there one eppie and then he stayed. He didnt really do anything so I dont care about him. Pippa was alittle annoying but I could stand her. I didnt see any eppies wiht Goegre in them so I cant comment there. Beverly Ann- she was ok- just ok. ANy of the other people- I have no clue about who they are because I didnt see any of those eppies either. I just saw the fandimouin eppies and ones from 1993or 95 when I was little that I vaguely remember.

"So screw 'em"?? Ouch.

Plus, why is it everyone hates the Reunion?? I thought it was great!!! Okay, Blair could have had more to do on it, and you didn't see enough of ME until the end (like Big Woop), but it still was a lot of fun!!:happyface

I know it was because Jo wasn't in it. I really wouldn't care if Bev was in it. Jo should have been in it because she was apart of that show for 8 years! They should have put the reunion off until Jo could have been in it imo.

Bev Ann was not necessary. She ruined the ending seasons.

yea...it was GREAT!! Mrs. G ruled!!! I agree, it wasn't the same FOL without Jo, and yes, Blair could've had a MUCH bigger involvement...but...other than that...totally awesome...

i agree the girls were too old for a guardian and it would be cool to see the girls running over our heads.

Even though I am a Beverly Ann fan I have to agree with APPLEI. I think FOL might have lasted longer if they were by themselves. Then maybe Mrs. Garrett could have return after her marriage. Also I think it was totally mean to find out they killed Tooties husband and Mrs. Garretts husband in the show. I am a Tootie/Jeff fan.

I AGREE WITH THAT POINT
BUT MY POINT IS
i believe these supporting characters were necessary and entertaining in their own way.

mr. bradley(it was a mistake to drop him from the cast because he was the definitive headmaster)
roger(nancy olsens boyfriend even if we did'nt
get to see him)
howard(a part of eastlands staff)
mr. harris(with the rug!)
mr. parker(mrs. garretts antagonist and biggest supporter)
geri warner(blairs cousin who encouraged blair too look into herself and grown)
cliff(blairs boyfriend)
jeff(tooties boyfriend)
snake(natalies lover!)
casey (blairs other boyfriend)
rick( jo's boyfriend)
mrs g's sons
the girls parents(too many to list)
roy the delivery guy who had a crush on jo(because in many respects some of us young men were that delivery guy who did'nt get what they want)

BUT MY POINT IS
the following characters were unnecessary

emily mahoney(one person too many in a already crowded cast)
kelly affinado(my least favorite person too appear on the facts of life ever!)
kevin metcalf(what did he bring to the show?)
george burnett(george clooney has better things to do)
andy moffet(he had no business living with the facts of life girls)
pippa mckenna(she had no business living with the facts of life girls) and
beverly ann(because the girls did'nt need a guardian at that point!)

thats my opinion whats yours?
the main cast did'nt need them because they were talented enough too carry the show without them!
and the show was more entertaining without them!

It seemed dumb to still have a gurdian when they are making episodes about sex, marriage, etc.

Andy and Geroge were okay. The real cast was better.

After watching the movie, I don't think they were killed, they died.
I don't remember hearing about them being killed. Was Jeff Tootie's husband in this?? Bruce was most likely old.

Also, thank you to APPLEI for clearing my point up about supporting characters, I didn't mean to say that they were just there for the comic effect, but that it rounded out the episodes with different types of people and funny or dramatic situations.
