Do you agree that these are pretty much the standard formulas for each episode of their respective shows:
Goldbergs - Beverly smothers the kids, who are in return rude to her Beverly. They both learn something by the end of the episode. Meanwhile, Beverly wants Murray to do something, But Murray is apathetic. Murray ultimately learns by the end of the episode.

Schooled - Coach Mellor is pushed to accept something new, but he resists. And then sees the error of his ways but then takes it too far. Meanwhile, Laney does something based off of a movie or TV show.

Interesting question, very insightful. I was thinking along the same lines recently but I'm sticking with both shows and hoping for improvements. My mistake was to compare Schooled to Our Miss Brooks so I was naturally crestfallen but then remembered each show is unique and it's best not to compare. Getting back to your question, I think there is room for positive developments and wasn't sure if the shows are based solely on actual events and therefore the relative boredom compared to Our Miss Brooks? Be that as it may, I still like Schooled better than Steve Harvey Show on GetTV. He is a music teacher too and I do watch that show on GetTV  but just saying...
