“I have a plan” for the sheer fact that things often went downhill from there.

^^^ I could be wrong, but I think that the only time that a plan of his actually worked was when the girls got sick during the flight they were working and because the guys were there with them, they did what they could to serve the other passengers. Come Fly With Me from season four is where that all happened.
