(The Houston Astros won the ALCS, 4 Games to 2, by beating the NY Yankees 6-4.)

(Ed is playing pool in the poolroom. Ralph comes in. He is all sad.)

Ed: "Whaddaya say Ralph? Cheer up Ralph. The Yankees tried their very best. They almost beat the Astros."

Ralph: "What a heartbreaking season Norton especially since they went on a tear in the regular season. I so wanted this town to get another World Series ring. It would be the first one in 10 years."

Ed: "I was upset too Ralph-ie boy! I was so upset, I was crying. I couldn't even sleep. I had to count fish coming through the pipes just to get me to sleep."

(Ralph rolls his eyes.)

Ralph: I guess that there is always next year. I hope this doesn't mean that we won't get another World Series championship for another 75 years. Remember, Chicago from 1917-2005 didn't have a World Series champion."

Ed: "Yeah. Time to forget about our troubles."

Ralph: "Yeah."

Ed: "Time to have fun."

Ralph: "Yeah."

Ed: "Time to remember to give Joe Fenstablau the $50 due to the bet that you made that said if the Yankees didn't win it all, you would give him $50."

Ralph (yells): "GET OUT! GET OUT NORTON! GET OUT AND STAY OUT!"

(Ed leaves.)

(Jackie walks on stage. Crowd cheers.)

Jackie: "Thank you. GOOD NIGHT!"

(Crowd cheers.)
