I missed the first four minutes of tape. Can someone else send it to me? I wanted to get the part when the Family takes a picture on the old couch.

View Full Version : Anybody taping the "Sam's Missing" episode? ThomasE 06-20-2002, 10:10 AM I missed the first four minutes of tape. Can someone else send it to me? I wanted to get the part when the Family takes a picture on the old couch. ThomasE 06-20-2002, 10:24 AM I'm watching MaryAnne Mobley. She doesn't seem so bad. JethroSimpson 06-20-2002, 11:42 AM I thought she was really funny in that episode when she flungs up her arms and goes "Phillip, I don't give a damn about the chairs!" I thought they were really good episodes though. west01 06-20-2002, 12:48 PM Talk about overacting.. wow... mary ann did a good job of that in this episode..basically, she got on my nerves by the end of the 1st episode.. everyone else seemed so calm though, in a tragedy situation.. good episodes to watch though, even though the kidnapper didn't seem like a really bad guy with his own family.. Czas na Zywiec 06-20-2002, 03:50 PM I thought she did a good job. I actually felt really sorry for the peanut head. He's usually annoying, but I liked the acting he did for once. LOL And he handled that situation pretty well. I would have not been able to handle it if I were kidnapped as a child. And I noticed that on TNN, when Sam was saying the phone number, they cut out the last number. Is it because some fans might have called that number and the people who live at that number might have complained? Or did NBC already cut it out? vienna waits 06-20-2002, 04:05 PM Originally posted by Ricky Ricardo I thought she did a good job. I actually felt really sorry for the peanut head. Well it was a 555 number wasnt it? those are fake ya know. No one has a 555 number SoFl123 06-20-2002, 04:35 PM I dont like Mary Ann Mobley that much. her acting is way over done sometimes. I can see why they cancelled Diffrent strokes after that season. ThomasE 06-20-2002, 09:39 PM Well she was good in some basic scenes like when the family gathered around to take a shot around the old couch. I thought she was good when it came to saying "Please, find my son." I thought it was a little overdone when she kept her mouth open the entire time she discovered that Pearl set a place for Sam at the kitchen table. When she found Sam, I thought she was real good. Maybe she was trying too hard in some segments. I, too did notice how everyone else stayed calm and how she had a more tempermental disposition. I would have let the tension build up first. I felt she looked so distressed some scenes,I felt bad for her. Another reason she probably was more angry is because that is her son. Her flesh and Blood. A mother will do that. Overall, I thought she did sort of an OK job for a newcomer to the show and she is such beautiful lady. She was the perfect choice in matching up for Conrad. ThomasE 06-21-2002, 10:22 AM I have observed her in today's 10am episode. I think she is much better today. Nothing too dramatic, but pretty good. JethroSimpson 06-21-2002, 05:44 PM If you watch her in the "Bulimia" episode she does a really funny line. Kimberly says something like "I'm fine, I can stop" and then listen to the way Mary Ann says "I don't think so Darling" like it is a threat. |
