Bad news fellow IDOJ watchers. The Hallmark Channel has decided to add FOL. This change along with a Bewitched change means that IDOJ will move to 6:00p.m.central/7:00p.m.eastern ,the whole hour ,and 10:00a.m.central/11:00a.m.eastern. This isnt' the bad news but this is. Due to the change in line-up which as of July 1 will have all of the following in whole hours Bewitched on at 3:00p.m.central/4:00eastern, Facts of Life on at 4:00p.m.central/5:00eastern(IDOJ's old time), Bewitched on at 5:00p.m.central/6:00p.m.eastern (this will be the whole hour not like it used to be when IDOJ and Bewitched shared the hour), and finally IDOJ on at 6:00p.m.central/7:00p.m.eastern (only for a whole hour). What does all of this mean exactly? It means that the Hallmark Channel:mad: will only show IDOJ 4 times a day instead of 5 times a day. While Bewitched comes on 6 times a day, 6 times, that's a whole hour more than IDOJ!! The FOL:mad: will come on 2 times a day!!! I'm very mad and very sad so I think I'll go now. :(

Hi I Dream of Jeannie Forever- I'm sorry to hear that since I know you're an IDOJ fan. But at the same time, I must say that we're fortunate that Hallmark will still continue to air IDOJ.

Being an FOL fan as well, I know I have much to look forward to next month, including IDOJ, FOL, Bewitched, and much more. FOL is the reason why I came to Sitcoms in the first place, but I am quite pleased with the fact that we can come here to discuss virtually any of our favorite sitcoms.

Truthfully, I haven't been keeping up with IDOJ lately, because I've been working on the revisions of my grad thesis. But tonight, I decided to catch IDOJ on Hallmark for a change.

Could you help me out here? As I said, I haven't seen IDOJ in a while, but I used to know this show forward and backward when I was your age (assuming you're a pre-teen). It appears as though Hallmark has modified IDOJ from its original version by using the theme song from the first season in the opening animation of the color eps. Am I correct? I could have sworn that the theme song had changed by the 2nd season. If I am correct here, I wonder what gives Hallmark the right to modify it like that!!???

I'm happy for you though that FOL is finally on because you sound like a big fan. I'm 14 but in a few months I'll be 15!!

The Hallmark Channel has not modified the second, third, fourth, and fifth seasons at all except for cutting them of course. The first season was recently colorized by Hallmark. And that is the first seasons theme song that your talking about and we are still in the first season as the show is played but however today at 4:00p.m.central we will enter the second season and they should show the second, third, fourth, and fifth season theme song you are also talking about. So I don't think they've modified anything except the 1st season, along with the black and white seasons of Bewitched, being colorized.

Oh and I don't get to every episode everyday on the Hallmark Channel most of the time I only get to see like 3, because of Softball, Basketball, and Color Guard/Band practices and games.
But I have ever episode on tape so I always get my daily dose of IDOJ.:talk:

Thanks; I am a big FOL fan, but I wasn't as crazy about it during the 80's. There is so much trivia to that show, and so many characters that I wasn't aware of. I don't enjoy going to the FOL board anymore either, but I still love the show.

As for IDOJ on Hallmark, thanks for telling me that about the first season being colorized. All I can say is shame on Hallmark, or whoever is responsible for colorizing the first season. With the exception of the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" and most of Shirley Temple's movies, I really hate it when original B&W pictures get colorized.

Gee, I can't believe I didn't recognize that those eps of IDOJ belong to the first season. I should have been able to identify them, because that is when Barbara Eden's hair was shorter. In point of fact though, I was a 3rd generation IDOJ watcher, and I was introduced to the color eps before the B&W eps. So I don't remember the first season as well as the later seasons.

I really wish that I could see the episodes in B&W. The last time I saw them in black and white was like the first time I ever saw IDOJ which was when I was 9 or 10 I can't remember which it was. So it would be nice to see the episodes in B&W. I hoping that for mabye christmas I'll be able to get every episode of IDOJ uncut. That would be great for either christmas or my b-day which is the 24, yes I was born on Christmas Eve. :happyface

Wow- born on Christmas Eve, that's pretty neat! I think that if you continue to drop hints to your family members and friends, someone will give you what you want for Christmas. But make sure they know where to purchase the videos; I assume they will have to place the order online or by telephone.

Yeah, I drop hints like everyday. I figure they can find out where to buy the videos by looking into my favorites list which is full of IDOJ websites that have links to places that sell them.
