June: Where is Herb taking Janet?”
Ward: To get some air that punch went right to her head.”
June: Why Ward there’s nothing in it.”
Ward: Her head?
That’s one of my favorite scenes with Ward and June!

Definitely. Some of their early season banter was easily some of the show's funniest lines.

In the early seasons, esp. season 1, they definitely have better dialog and interaction.
Then by season 3 (as Fred remarks) they're "old married people."

And by season 6 they acted like they were not even on a first name basis. He was rigid and she was formal and over dressed. What were they trying to imply? Maybe Hugh and Barbara didn’t get along.
I like how June acted in the old house and Ward was so fun loving and joking. “Ward I wasn’t expecting you.” “Who were you expecting?” “Shouldn’t that be whom?”
“Is that you Dear?” “No it’s your husband.”

Kinda surprised to see Puddin & Bengie showing up in season 1 - whereas sitcoms usually bring in the the NEW YOUNG KID when the regulars grow older +-

Right Michael Landon was famous for adding cute kids who could cry to Little House when the actors got too old. Don’t forget to cry.
