Antenna TV will be adding some new shows for January 2020 but until then, according to the new fall schedule seen below, their lineup will be almost exactly the same except for changes to the E/I shows on Saturday mornings which will also include extra episodes of "Three's Company" spinoffs "The Ropers" and "Three's A Crowd". Otherwise, everything stays the same until the New Year.

Even with removing an hour, Antenna still won't move their E/I shows earlier. I don't care with this schedule as I don't watch The Ropers and Three's a Crowd, but if they put something good in the removed E/I hour for January, noon would be a better hour for it than 9AM.

This schedule does not surprise me all that much.

I figured there would not be hardly any changes this Fall. Especially since they are waiting until January to add most of their new programs.

I hope the rumors about It's a Living coming to Antenna next year end up being false. I knew there was a reason I didn't want it coming, but couldn't remember until I saw the thread about its name change. Lots of controversy when It's a Living aired about its risque content. We don't need a trashy show like that airing on what has largely been a family friendly station. It is bad enough Soap airs in primetime on Saturday nights. That show is so racy Antenna puts a disclaimer on it, which they don't with their other shows.

The news came from SO themselves, who are in contact with Antenna's people, so I believe that It's a Living coming to Antenna next January or September will be true. And not all episodes of Soap have a disclaimer on them, just the very early ones. And they also have shows like Becker and Three's Company which are risque so they'll likely add It's a Living. Regardless of it's risque content, I will be looking forward to the possibility of it being aired!

And the SO blog was clear to indicate that It's a Living pickup is not official, just a possibility at this point. As opposed to Diff'rent Strokes, The Facts of Life, That Girl, Designing Women, NewsRadio, and Who's the Boss?, all of which are definitely coming in 2020. Becker never should have aired on Antenna in the first place. A show with the majority of its run in the 2000s does not belong on an otherwise classics network airing shows from the 1900s. And I am getting fed up with Three's Company dominating the schedules. While John Ritter is a good actor, the writing was mostly lousy with a bunch of sophomoric sleazy inuendos and double entendres. Quality shows like Wings or Family Ties would be big upgrades in the 11PM hour weeknights, and Mork and Mindy would be good Saturdays at 7PM. That show has gotten terrible treatment on Antenna.

You think It's A Living was a trashy/risque show?! I admit I have a very vague recollection of it as a child when it originally aired, but I don't recall anything that would be deemed trashy or risque.

I'm looking forward to seeing it again but scratching my head over your comments. Perhaps i'm not remembering the show correctly? I admit not seeing it in 30+ years.

I know it was about a bunch of waitresses in a high rise restaurant that wore really short dresses, but I don't recall anything "trashy" about it.

They've also rumored shows like Alice and Murphy Brown before they came. Becker IMO is a good and funny show, and you talk about Wings even though that is a pretty risque show as well. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they added It's a Living next year, not official, but sounds like they heard from one of their sources from Antenna that it was a real possibility since they do have their sources at SO. Three's Company is an insanely popular show on Antenna, thus the many timeslots, so it isn't leaving anytime soon. Maybe in the next schedule Wings and Family Ties and Mork and Mindy will get better timeslots. For Antenna, it's all about the ratings. And also when they reveal their schedule likely sometime in December, we'll have a much better idea about the shows than we do now. Much too early to know about the schedule. They've surprised us with unannounced shows in the past, just so you know.

I never understood their logic of why they schedule the Three’s Company spinoffs backwards. They show Three’s A Crowd then the Ropers and then Three’s Company. It would make more sense if they were shown in the opposite order forwards.

I've always wondered the same thing myself.

FCC has change rules on when E/I shows can start as some of the other networks is moving their E/I shows around
