A teaser trailer is a very short advertisement for a movie which gives very little away. It's designed to arouse people's interest in the film - to make them think "I wonder what that's all about. I'll need to go'n see the movie to find out!"

They're ruining the books with these movies. The first book was way better than the movie.

I have a feeling. Two actually.

1] The first movie will be better than this one.
2] This movie will def. be not as good as the book.

Dobby does look kind of freaky in that picture. Hey, does anybody know when the next Harry Potter book comes out? Sometime in August or something?

There was an article in our paper about this. J.K Rowling is on SUCH a writers block. I'm getting a little annoyed. I'm currently reading the 3rd book for the 22nd time to date. She NEEDS to hurry up!

I agree with you on that case. I always find it really, really rare if the movie is better than the book or just as good as the book.

First point: I hate that Warner Bros. put the full two minute trailer of Harry Potter in front of Scooby Doo, and a thiriy second snippet of it on their main site. So basically, they're conning you to see a crappy movie for a kick ass trailer. I'll just wait until they put it on the internet. 3 months or so to go...

Second point: Book 5...Order of the Phoenix...I hate waiting...waiting sucks...taking her time means a better product...cop out...I hate waiting...

I hate to disagree with you here but my 2 favorite movies, 'Stand By Me' and 'Fight Club', were both a zillion times better than the books that they were adapted from.

Yeah, I'd say so. I assume it's an order Dumbledore is a part of, or an order he starts or something. You know, because I recall there being "Orders", like the Order of Merlin, etc.

And yes, it's a shame we know what we're talking about. ;)

Actually, there is SOMEWHERE online where you can see the entire trailer, 'cause I watched it. I could have SWORN I put it in my favorites, but it looks like I didn't and now I can't find it. But I know it's there aomewhere. I remember, 'cause I was just searching for info. on the second picture and I came across the entire trailer...

Hmmmmmm, wait a minute. In that trailer, it makes it look like the Ford Angelina is going to fly right into the Hogwarts Express! They flew into the Whompin Willow, not the train....

I'm sure the Whomping Willow is still going to be there. I mean, it's has to be. (Important plot point in Book 3, if you know what I mean).

And yes, right after I made the comment about Warner Bros above, I went to a trusty Harry Potter site ( www.the-leaky-cauldron.org ) and they had links to the new trailer galore.

Looks good so far, but man, they made Ron into a wimp. "Can we panic now?" What the hell is that? Yes, he's afraid of spiders, but geez...
Anyway, I can't wait until he belches slugs... ;)

Yeah I just thought of that....without the Whomping Willow, the whole end of Book 3 would be...well, useless.

And yeah, I can't wait either! lol, he should have at least belched some on Malfoy before Harry and Hermione carried him away.....

ROFL, that would've been hilarious. Maybe he will in the movie.

And about the movies not being as good as the books... well, no one really expects them to be. I saw the first movie before I read the books, and I thought it was a great movie. Then I read the book and loved it more. You just have to go see the second movie looking for a good movie--not looking for the film version of the book, verbatim and everything.

I actually would have liked the movie a little more, but they left out one of my favorite parts. It's in the end when Harry and Hermione do that little potions thing...Snape's spell. They didn't put that in the movie! :(

I'd rather them not make the fourth book at all. Just imagine how'd they butcher that thing. The Quidditch World Cup...most likely gone. The Yule Ball(the funniest part in the whole series, period)...most likely gone...It's just way too big, and way too many plot points to cover.
Prisoner of Azkaban is a good stoping point.

Oh, and about the slug thing. I heard that in the movie, they used REAL slugs for him to belch. Gross, but hey, at least they're making it realistic!

Well, Chris Columbus won't be directing after this second one, but he's said if he were directing GoF he'd make it into two parts, releasing one at Thanksgiving and one at Christmas.

While it's possible they would cut out the Quidditch World Cup, I don't really think they would. That's where you meet a lot of new characters like Crouch, Bagman, Winky, and Viktor... plus it's because of the cup that Rita Skeeter is introduced. And the Quidditch Cup is really the only place where there would be a ton of wizards all around, including Death Eaters. So it's the only sensible place to have the Dark Mark scene. And they couldn't possibly cut out the Dark Mark. Well, knowing Warner Brothers, they would, but it would be a horrible idea.

And the Yule Ball... well, it would be condensed, no doubt. But they have to have some of it, at least. Otherwise Vikto and Hermione couldn't have gone together and then she wouldn't be his "thing he misses most" in the second task, plus Jealous Ron would be completely gone. It'd be easier for them to do a short scene containing the ball than to cut it out completely and make all those changes.

Anyway, I do agree with you though. It'd be best for them to just stop after the third one. I would like to see a film version of GoF... just not one where it would be completely butchered. Maybe they should do that one as a miniseries or something.

THAT is actually a good idea......

And I STILL say that Ron and Fleur should have gotten together... but ya know....that's ok.

Chris Columbus said that they might split GoF into two parts, releasing them within a month. I don't know, but that just seems unreasonable. I don't think the studio will totally be up for that scenario anyway.

What? Ron and Fleur? What books are you reading? ;)
Nah, it's obvious who Ron will end up with down the road...*coughhackhermionehackcough*

In a perfect world, I would love to see a great film version of GoF. I mean, they adapted The Lord of the Rings, and look how that turned out(amazingly). A big book can be done, but like I said above, it's unreasonable.

Ahhh, but how cool it would to see The Third Task, or the First Task for that matter. It's not my favorite of the series(that would have to be Prisoner of Azkaban), but it's nothing short of epic.

Bottom line is if they decide to make it, they better make it right.

Ron and Hermione... I wish it weren't true. It's really obvioius that they'll get together, but I keep hoping they won't. I'm not really a big fan of Ron. He can be funny ("Ahh Harry. When two Neptunes appear it is a sure sign that a midget in glasses is being born." "Percy wouldn't recognize a joke if it danced naked in front of him wearing Dobby's tea cozy."), but most of the time I find him annoying. Not too sure why.

Yeah I know. He annoys me a LOT. Not so much in the book, but in the movie...although your right, he can be funny. Like in PoA, when in Divination he goes "It's obvious what this means. There will be loads of fog tonight" he does have some cool lines

Annoying? To me, never. Yeah, he's a jerk sometimes, and insanely jealous. But that's because he's got this huge inferority complex by being poor and that is amplified by being in the shadow of Harry Potter. Yet, at the same time, he's extremely protective and loyal to his friends. Plus, like you acknowledge, he's got a big sense of humor. That's why he's such a great kid. That's why he's my favorite character. (Hermione is second, Lupin my third...)

Wish it weren't true? Yeah, a lot of people don't understand the reasons for it either. But, unfortunetly for you, all signs aren't pointing in your favor. What do I think? I think they would be hilarious together, just like they've always been.
