Did anyone else think Larry and Louise were very annoying in this episode? They jumped to conclusions way too much and think horribly of Darrin but don't mind dropping in for dinner when they feel like it. Also, if I were Sam and Darrin, there's no way they would come over for dinner again after that stunt they pulled. Also, Darrin should have had Larry arrested for assault.

Sometimes writers pull an old trick when desperate to get a script finished. They write the characters to suit the needs of the script - even if it contradicts what the character would actually do. It drives me crazy but it happens a lot.

This was probably just a script they needed to get done on time. And Larry and Louise were out of character.

They did this a lot to Darrin in season 5. There's no way he would threaten to punch Uncle Arthur in "Samantha Loses Her Voice." Darrin wasn't a violent person and it makes no sense that he'd threaten to punch someone who could turn him into an artichoke.
