She certainly seemed smarter than the Chrissy character.

I think she could've played Chrissy and TC would've still been successful because they might as well have called this the Jack Tripper show! He DROVE the show!

Loni does have a certain look of sophistication about her. So I can kind of see their point of view. I'm glad they didn't recast Chrissy with another actress. I like the route they went with bringing in her cousin to fill her spot temporarily then moving on to another more permanent roommate. Roommates come and go at that age so it was believable. Besides I can't think of anybody that they could have tried as a Chrissy recast - maybe Misty Rowe. But I just don't think a Chrissy recast would have been acceptable, not for me anyways.
