Hi Everybody,

As many of you know, in January 2020, shortly after the New Year arrives, Antenna TV will be adding 5 Classic TV Shows to its regular lineup--specifically "NewsRadio," "Designing Women," "Diff'rent Strokes," "The Facts of Life" and "That Girl," with "Who's the Boss" scheduled to arrive in September 2020.

That being said, here's how I would improve Antenna TV for January 2020.

First off, I'd GET ****ING RID of the Credit Crunch at the end of each episode of each show; secondly, if I were running Antenna TV, this would be MY Schedule for January 2020 and September 2020, respectively, with the new shows included as well as past and present Antenna TV favorites returning, as well as a few other NEW Additions I'd add in January 2020.

Does this sound like a GREAT Antenna TV Schedule for January 2020 or what? To recap, here's an overview:

Besides the new CONFIRMED Acquisitions for Antenna TV, I would have "Mr. Belvedere," "Doogie Howser" and "Evening Shade" return to Antenna TV after nearly 2 years away. Likewise, I'd also add the '80s sitcom "Charles in Charge" and the '80s family drama "The Wonder Years" to Antenna TV's Regular Schedule, along with "St. Elsewhere," "Hill Street Blues" and "B.J. and the Bear" on weekends, which also would include a weekend block of Disney programs such as "Home Improvement," "The Golden Girls," "Ellen" and "Empty Nest" as well as "The Wonderful World of Disney" anthology series.

Realistically, I can't make any Promises OR Guarantees any of this would or will happen; it's just something I thought I'd put together to help improve the way Antenna TV is running, cause frankly, though it's otherwise a great channel, it DOES need Improving. With the arrival of "Who's the Boss" in September 2020, the only thing I would do differently is pair "Charles in Charge" with "Who's the Boss" on Antenna TV every weekday. Otherwise, the same schedule from January 2020 that I suggested would be NO different.

Wow Stevearino You did a fantastic job! I know it’s not easy making those Schedule Suggestions! I feel you did an Excellent job!

My Suggestion for 2020 is I would like to see Antenna TV air more Sitcoms programming from the 1950’s & 1960’s there is so many greats out there that are sitting on the shelf. (The Many Loves Of Dobbie Gillis & Car 54, Where Are You? & December Bride )and etc! It would be Fantastic if these programs can air in Primetime & LateNight & Overnight Every Night just like they did on NICK at NITE!

Although I will give Antenna TV credit for going after some 1980’s Programming considering most of the 1980’s Programming hasn’t found much success on Antenna TV.

Stevearino is 100 percent correct!

Johnny Carson would never get shoved to 5AM, Antenna paid too much to bury him there.

Also stop these haphazard commercial breaks where they don’t belong and these super long commercial breaks.

Also stop these haphazard commercial breaks where they don’t belong and these super long commercial breaks.

This is my biggest peeve and why I started tuning out of Antenna TV lately. It's like all of a sudden they started adding an extra set of commercials clearly where they don't belong and cutting off scenes while characters are still talking.

Doing this not only pisses off the viewer, but it destroys the momentum of the scene being played because the extra commercial is usually placed during a pivotal point in the show where a break clearly shouldn't be.

It's reaching the point where you have equal amounts of TV show and commercials now. Why bother watching the station anymore?!

I'd love to see these new shows coming in 2020, but i'm not going to tune into them because they're going to be butchered beyond belief for endless funeral insurance, life alert, dying Russian women, tortured animals, and special children commercials.

NO THANKS! I will just buy the DVD's of these shows instead.

Antenna TV used to be the best retro station, but they're becoming unwatchable these days and it's sad.

Because of all the crap they pull, I'm mostly done with the retro stations unless one of the channels is airing a show I'm interested in that isn't available on retail DVD.

I agree that the amount of commercial time in these channels is getting out of hand. In 2017 when Antenna TV started airing Joey Bishop, the episodes were edited and ran 23 minutes with 7 minutes of commercials. Then a year later or so, those same episodes were running 22 minutes with 8 minutes of commercials. No additional scenes were edited, but what Antenna TV did was time compress/speed up the episodes so they could include an additional minute of precious commercial time.

re the OPs schedule: I doubt they would spend $$$ on acquisitions and put them in the early AM. I wouldn't be happy with a schedule that ditches the 50s and 60s Sitcoms. The boomers are still around for few more years!

The placement of the commercials is something a 4 year old could do better than Antenna TV and to a lesser extent MeTV. TV Land is lousy too but that off-topic. And once it's in their master control, no one's gonna change it.

I hope Nexstar eventually asserts their control and straightens out some of the technical stuff, like the ad placement and credits.
