Tomorrow, I lost my mom for the 3rd year...

This year was **** not because my mom was gone for this long...but what I had to suffer...my hours on my job was cut, the people I worked with were fired, and I may be the next victim...I may have to move-back home due to the pressure I'm going through...so this year is the WORST Year I ever encounter, but I wanna dedicate this song from Elton John's "Candle in the Wind" rewritten for her...

1-Goodbye Laura V,
My mother throughout my life.
You had grace and kindness,
Throughout your life.
Living in suburbia, but didn't embrace it then.
Wouldn't take that treadmill though you'd walk there again.

Chorus-And to me, it seems you lived your life like a candle in the wind.
Always knowing who to cling to when the rains set-in.
I wanna make you smile for me, but I didn't now.
Because your candle's burned-out long before...the life I live somehow.

2-Marriage can be tough, motherhood you played the game.
But you made it through, even when you would make us pray.
Even when you left me, you were married in that time,
But we would be reunited in 2005.

Chorus-And to me, it seems you lived your life like a candle in the wind.
Always knowing who to cling to when the rains set-in.
I wanna make you smile for me, but I didn't now.
Because your candle's burned-out long before...the life I live somehow.

3-Goodbye, Laura V. You are in a better land.
You believed in God, as others I know that understand.
So long, Laura V. The son who wants to see you too.
With Robin Williams and a relative or two.

Chorus-And to me, it seems you lived your life like a candle in the wind.
Always knowing who to cling to when the rains set-in.
I wanna make you smile for me, but I didn't now.
Because your candle's burned-out long before...the life I live somehow.

I'm sorry to hear that. Did your mom pass away? Last year all I did was complain about what a crappy year it had been (2018) and then I lose my husband in January of 2019. I shudder just thinking about it. The song you posted is really nice.

She's been dead since 2016...today is the 3rd anniversary of my mom's death.

And yesterday, I took time to lament at University Circle. I went to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens for the first time, she loved gardening and flowers. I went to the Natural History Museum, not much was there but I love going there. And finally the Cleveland Museum of Art...she loved the visual arts and wanted to be an artist.

I even ate the fast foods she loved like Burger King Whoppers and KFC. And if I don't go to my dad's tonight, I'll heat-up some sweet and sour pork...she loved Chinese Food and Pizza.
