Somebody had emailed me this question, the criteria is:

- A family of four (two adults, two children)
- Children must be under the age of 14
- This must be the parent's first marriage

Bewitched would be one are there any others? It seems most sitcoms have three or more children.

The first two seasons of "Too Close for Comfort", before the baby was born, meet this criteria. So does "The Patty Duke Show", if you don't count cousin Cathy. I guess "Small Wonder" does too, if you count the robot. "ALF" had two kids and two parents when it started, too.

The Life of Riley (Babs and Junior)
Real McCoys (Hassie and Lil Luke)
Married With Children (Kelly and Bud)
Donna Reed (Mary and Jeff)
Jetsons (Judy and Elroy)
Lucy Show (Chris and Jerry) (Sherman was Viv's)(yes and Lucy's hubby was deceased)
Mama's Family (Buzz and Sonya) 1st year

I know that I am not considering the age criteria totally but couldnt resist.

They were not the main focus of the show, but the Pfeiffers on "The Wonder Years" fit that category--father Alvin, mother Ida, son Paul, and daughter Debbie. Paul did turn fourteen during the middle of the series.

Happy Days is another show where they started out with 3 kids
(wasn't the oldest one named Chuck?) and then he mysteriously disappeared leaving 2 kids.
