I had never heard of the name Dax and I always thought it was short for Dexter so I researched name books for the name Dax and the closest meaning I found I discovered that Dax means leader. I often wonder due to Dax Shepard's popularity in the sitcom Bless This Mess and Spin The Wheel that parents are naming their baby boys Dax due to this?

So Dax Shepard got his name from a book character? That's pretty unique and when I had seen Dax Shepard on Bless This Mess and Spin The Wheel Mom always wanted to know about his name because she had never heard of the name Dax before. It is now my favorite name at the moment and if I ever have a baby when I get married I'll name my child Dax because of Dax Shepard
