The FCC has proposed fining CBS $272,000 after Young Sheldon simulated an Emergency Alert Service tone on the April 12, 2018 that was used to accompany a tornado warning. Even though producers modified the tone, the FCC found it "substantially simililar" to the real EAS tone.
