Until I saw Jean Stapleton and Carroll O'Connor on the Donnie & Marie Show, I never realized how totally different they are from their characters. I especially enjoyed hearing how each of them developed their characters from other people (Archie was a combo of Jimmy Cagney and others in Carroll's family/ Edith was a favorite aunt of Jean's and others). They are such a part of our lives, you forget you have to "make" these characters from scratch. Jean was especially wanting to be removed from Edith and be remembered for all her roles on stage rather than t.v./ Carroll was happy that people remembered him at all http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Mike and Gloria were my aunt and her boyfriend :)

Hehe I dunno how grampa liked that but I really did see a resemblence between him and Archie...... Maybe my grandma wasnt as batty as Edith seemed though.....
