When you’re on the air for over a decade, your show is bound to attract a few guest stars. Before the advent of eight thousand different ways to make your mark in the entertainment industry, aspiring stars only music, TV, or movies and that’s about it. So, when you got a chance to get your face out there, network TV was usually the best place to go. Movies are nice and all, but your face is only available to paying customers.
