With my ex-boss pushed into retirement...I feel sad about this.
I'm gonna get a card for him...he already celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary last weekend. He was tough as nails...but he's family to me!
My church family has left the place I work at. I need to find a better job...and fast! I may make the move to become a member of another Lutheran Church by the end of the month...and if my "pastor" dislikes this...just give me the pink slip!
My "pastor" isn't into The Lutheran Doctrine...at least my last pastor had respect over The Lutheran Doctrine...the "pastor" I have now is into Prosperity Doctrine...and the people who used The Prosperity Doctrine...have seen it fail throughout...it seems that the "pastor" at my church probably saw a 900-foot Jesus one night!
I like the mainline protestant doctrine...I feel that when two or more people are together...that's church! I've seen every denomination from Catholic to Pentecostal, live or on television...they have opinions, but they love God and Jesus.
I know that if I lose a friend or two...Catholic, Mainline, or Evangelical...I'll see them on the other side. I'll have a few that I'll have to say good-bye when they die because...they won't have eternal joy (the one that may hurt the most is my sister).
But...my "pastor" tore-down the gardens and the stage that were part of the ministry of my church and never told anyone. I think this is wrong...even my previous pastor didn't go to the extremes...the last pastor, in my humble opinion, was the Michael Eisner of that church...he built it up, but tore it down at the same time because his ego got in his way...and yet...he NEVER went to extremes!
Like many who left my church...I should move-on....
