Remember the one where Elaine started hanging around with George's girlfriend, Susan? Worlds collide. It drove George nuts.
Well, that plot goes way back to a Father Knows Best episode from 1957, Mother Goes To School. In this episode Margaret, the mother, enrolls in a college class, which her daughter Betty is also in. At first Betty likes the idea, but gradually she finds she can't stand it. Finally an episode with her younger daughter clues Margaret in to the problem. Same thing: Betty's mother invaded her world.
