My mom has a habit of sending aggressive text messages. She sent a text to me saying."give me a call when you get a chance between Friday and Sunday?

I told her she can't tell another grown person when to call her back. Have you ever heard of something this crazy? My mom's excuse was......."I should be able to find time for her because she is my mother? That type of text comes off too demanding and saying I NEED A RESPONSE in 48 hours.

She is about to be blocked

I know there are exceptions, but do try to remember the Fifth Commandment.

I like the easy questions. I would give her a call when I got a chance to between Friday and Sunday.

Simple.

Your mother was not being aggressive at all. Your mom was simply being a mom.

My mom... well, she doesn't make me... but we talk on the phone every night (give or take) at about 9pm. It's only for a few minutes, but it's nice b/c before my husband passed away we would only talk about once a month.

She should have given you some idea of what's on her mind. It's an unwinnable situation, though.

yes atleast mention it in the text

I called her to ask what since I have a new life

I hope your new life (whatever that means) includes your mom.
