With DVD and Blu-Ray movies becoming strong sellers in the market I often wonder like with music if they will someday release clean versions of movies? Because with so many movies using foul language these days I think movies released in a clean version with the profanity bleeped out would be a huge seller for people who would much rather watch movies with the profanity bleeped out and other scenes not suitable to watch in the original versions. And since most movie buyers and watchers are families it would be a smart idea so one version could have an explicit version and the other version could be a clean version
Would clean versions of movies sell on the market in the future?

What do you base that on?

I remember when they released a PG-13 cut of The King's Speech in theaters and it flopped.

No thanks. I've seen 'clean' versions of movies aka edited for TV, and they're awful.
If people don't want to watch movies with lots of foul language and explicit scenes, then they can avoid them.

18-24 year olds are still the main ticket buyers.

If it's broadcast into your living room you can hardly avoid it. If people wish to pay to watch that drivel on subscription that's another matter.
