Beaver couldn’t be more obvious. He was downright cruel to June and so foolishly gushing over Ward’s accomplishments! It was sickening. So immature.

He had a nice long scene to reconcile with June, thanks to the bee (where he was a little too quickly cured). The only other long mending-fences scene with those two (that I can recall) was in June's Birthday.

I'm surprised June had so few plotlines on the show. For someone with top billing, she seemed like a supporting player. An, am I wrong, or did she have NO friends whatsoever?

It was a kid-centered show but right, she did seem like a supporting player. You occasionally heard a mention of something she was doing or a friend. Like she was going to meet Marge downtown, or she was old friends with Dudley's McMillan's mother.

But really, dealing with the boys and their problems? "I'll wait and let Ward take care of it." Talks in the den and discipline were always his job. And I don't think it's a sign of the times because back in those days mothers did a lot of disciplining.

I don't care for this episode either, since it makes Ward & June look dumber than Wally, who quickly figured out what Beaver was doing while they didn't.

I just watched this for the first time and it wasn't as bad as I thought but my jaw did drop a couple of times. Kind of dumb for him to get all bent out of shape just because she asked him to go to the store and he wanted to help Wally and Eddie with that radio in Eddie's car. Seems like an episode that should have been done when he was younger b/c it would have been more fitting.

By this time Wally and Beaver didn't do that much together and one the only that Eddie even was going to let Beaver come he was smaller the either of them so could get wiring for the car radio easier then anyone else he knew. Beaver getting old enough to be very interested in cars by this time besides by this time Wally was going to going to college pretty soon.

Oh I see Beaver had a chance to hang out with the big guys to help install the adapter and Eddie asked him. It’s like when he, “Gus and Annette” got to go to Bellport Amusement Park with the guys. He wanted to do stuff with them on a regular basis.

Yeah Beaver really wanted to go with the big guys again. Despite Eddie telling him basically that he only asked him to go because he was small enough to install the part (which he really wasn't, probably--he was just as big as the big guys). You're right, it's like the amusement park and even Wally asking him to double date.

As far as the payback goes, he's a 13 year old immature, barely teenager. As I've said before this not speaking to you bit is a typical, immature gambit. Believe me, I know!

I agree, Ward was really slow on the retake. But probably he was wrong when his light bulb finally came on--the best response is to ignore it and it will go away eventually.

I think you’re right as I remember and it pains me to say it but I think once or twice I said I was never going to speak to my mother again. Then I would say I didn’t mean it. Or I think I said I didn’t like her and later I said I didn’t mean it.
