When the diet drink Crystal Light was launched in the 80's it was known for having the most awesome commercials with the awesome slogan "I believe in Crystal Light because I believe in me" and with celebrities such as Linda Evans as spokeswomen Crystal Light took off like a rocket. As the 90's began we began to see Crystal Light commercials take on a whole new look with new age sounding music and a relaxing feel to them. But perhaps Crystal Light's selling point began in 1992 when Enya's 1988 new age hit Orinoco Flow became used in their commercials and believe it or not this Crystal Light commercial made me an Enya fan when I discovered Orinoco Flow was featured in it and that has become one of my favorite Enya songs. But as the years went by Crystal Light continued to attract sales with a new image in their commercials and while the commercials for Crystal Light improved today it would be cool to bring back the 80's slogan and style of the old Crystal Light commercials for a new generation today

Crystal Light scored big with getting "Orinoco Flow" as their song. I had no idea, at the time, who Enya was, but that song must have sold a lot of yellow powder!

It wasn't until the following year that I got an Enya CD and was like, "...hey, that's the Crystal Light song!" :lol:

It's such a beautiful song that I hate to see it being used to hawk a product, even one as refreshing as Crystal Light. I'm just glad "Caribbean Blue" didn't suffer the same fate!

There was also a Crystal Light commercial that featured Linda Evans as she promoted a special exercise record/cassette that was an exclusive offer for buyers of Crystal Light as a mail-in offer. As the fitness craze continued in the 80's it was a fine time for the companies to offer all kinds of diet cuisine and drinks and when Crystal Light was launched in 1984 it had proven to be lucky

Linda Evans was good at doing Crystal Light Commericals at the time, the best one she did when she hop out of the limo and ride a bike if im correcting it.
