The pet monkey starring opposite Y star Barry Keoghan turns out to be the same monkey from Friends. The monkey, who is actually a female named Katie, is again playing a male monkey, with the name Ampersand. Keoghan’s Yorick Brown and Ampersand are the only male mammals to have survived the plague on the FX series. Katie the Monkey is in her mid- to late-20s with a life expectancy of 40.
