Happy Days alum Henry Winkler revealed how he used his magical 'Fonzie touch' to talk a suicidal boy off a ledge on Tuesday night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The 73-year-old Emmy winner was rehearsing his role as greaser Arthur 'Fonzie' Fonzarelli on the set of the ABC sitcom when an Illinois state trooper called for his help.
'"I have a 17-year-old kid on the ledge. And he is threatening to jump off and he will only talk to you,"' the native New Yorker recalled the sergeant saying.

'And I don't know where I got the nerve to take the phone and start talking to this kid.'
Winkler discovered that John wanted to be an actor, and he offered to help the troubled teen only 'if you get off the ledge' and promise to give Henry his record collection before he jumped.
'I was 27 when I got the Fonz, John,' the Yale School of Drama grad told the aspiring actor.
'I think you've got 10 good years to keep trying. How about that? Will you do that? Okay, can I get back to rehearsing? Thank you.'
