I'm kinda amazed the Mary Tyler was wearing different TIGHT tops that express her protruding petite bosom ! as apposed to the other girls in the sitcom episodes ...
I think is was not by accident because it's there when she has a different outfit on. (ratings / Hmmm )
glitch in the story - the very 1st time Beaver walks her home to HIS house and they are upstairs in Beav's Bedroom playing Monopoly and Beaver says will I'm out of money so it looks like you won AGAIN (again makes no sense)
I'm also surprised when at the end and Beav returns her note with DROP DEAD as his reply ! over the top for happy go lucky sit com ! (?)
another glitch - Beav writes Drop Dead with a pointy pencil & small print and it is shown BOLD & Large like from a Magic Marker

Very good observations that I always notice every time, especially how he writes “drop dead” so small and never shows him underline it. When Mary opens the note it’s huge, bold print and underlined, a real blooper. That’s right Monopoly is usually one game that is endless. Obviously the writer didn’t play the game.
I guess after Judy departed they let the girls show their developing frame.
What I was going to mention was how really foolish Beaver acts pouring all the aftershave on his arms. He’s literally bathing in it. Wally should have said something. Those people had so much time to have a leisurely breakfast before school. No rushing. Also Mr. Collins had called on Gilbert to recite then calls on a Mr. Harrison. I guess Gilbert was back to Bates.

Another thing that bugs me: in that long scene where Mary is trying to get Wally to walk her home, it's obvious that Wally is trying every ploy he can think of to get out of it. Yes, Beaver is blinded by love, but he was right there hearing the whole thing and it should be obvious to him that Wally isn't to blame.

Correct. Mary was way too obvious. She wasn’t very smart to know this guy wasn’t interested. Mary was all of a sudden very rude to Beaver. It didn’t click. I think Mary should have accepted Wally was busy and give up. She could still be rude to Beaver but she was way too pushy. I didn’t like her character and can’t believe a new girl was so obnoxious as she looked so demure when she walked in. Beaver was in the wrong to accuse Wally of moving in. Wally was nice to tell Beaver later he hadn’t spoken to Mary when he certainly did.
Also how would she know Wally played baseball if she was all the way from Riverside?

I've given up on watching seasons 5 and 6 of Leave It to Beaver, even though the Wally, Eddie and Lumpy-centric episodes were pretty decent. I'm frustrated enough with the inconsistent and unimaginative writing of many Arthur episodes; some seasons are worse than others, so bad I never watch them again.

I don't know what Beaver and Arthur have to do with each other. I've read a lot of people don't like all the voice changes on Arthur.

Actually season 5 is better than 6 unless it’s about Eddie. By season 6 it should have been called Leave it to A Cleaver. Beaver wasn’t very good on the phone. He acts like there’s no one on the other end. Ward gave good phone.

A lot of kid actors seem to have more trouble with the phone than the adults. The director should notice stuff like this. If it's too bad they could tell the kid to pause after line A and wait for an assistant to cue them to go on. Eventually the offender would catch on.
I know I've mentioned before the kids on Father Knows Best were really bad with this. Way worse than Mathers.

I love how Ward acts on the phone. He really knew how to pause and then try to speak only to have to try to get a word in and does well when Frank Haskell hangs up before Ward can tell him Eddie is home.
When Wally is calling people to come to his party he doesn’t even let the phone ring before he’s saying “Hi Don or Julius.” Party Spoiler
