Two-time Emmy winner Clausen, 78, was fired in August 2017 (https://variety.com/2017/tv/news/simpsons-composer-alf-clausen-fired-1202543183/) after 27 years with the Fox animated series. At the time of his firing, producers said Clausen would have an "ongoing role" with the show (https://variety.com/2017/tv/news/the-simpsons-alf-clausen-composer-fired-statement-1202544058/). In his lawsuit, Clausen was informed that the show was "taking the music in a different direction.” The lawsuit states: "This reason was pretextual and false. Instead, Plaintiff’s unlawful termination was due to perceived disability and age.” The suit doesn't state Clausen's disability.

This lawsuit is gonna be the second blow to The Simpsons ending it's current season and now that the new season of The Simpsons is premiering September 20th FOX is gonna have a lot on their plate first with the death of Russi Taylor now this lawsuit and I can predict that this upcoming season of The Simpsons will be the last season. What I think happened is that when Alf Clausen got fired as music composer for The Simpsons FOX refused to give him his last check and so Alf Clausen tried every trick in the book so FOX would give him money and so when FOX refused to listen Alf decided to use tricks such as pretending he had an illness to being too old and when FOX had enough of Alf Clausen pretending they gave him a warning to stop for if he didn't stop FOX would not give him his money and only gave him checks containing small amounts of money. Alf Clausen is a nice guy and composed some of the best The Simpsons songs and I do hope he wins his lawsuit and FOX will finally give him his retirement money

The Simpsons should've cancelled years ago...it's now a parody of itself...if there's another season...I won't be surprised! It isn't even Matt Groening's show anymore....
