In the past, I could stay logged into the site until I closed the browser. After the server change I have to re-log in each time I navigate to a new page. I do all the obvious things like check the stay logged in box. I block cookies but make exceptions for individual sites using Firefox options.

To stay logged in make sure you check the "remember me" box when you log in to Sitcoms Online and the next time you visit Sitcoms Online to look or post on the message boards your name should be appear on the Welcome area
Hope I helped you a lot

I had the same trouble as you until I unblocked my cookies. After that, I’ve been fine. Maybe it’s a browser issue(?)

Possibly, because I only allow certain cookies. It may be that the new server requires specific other cookies to be unblocked. That's why I'm asking this question here. I allow the new domain to be unblocked and that generally works.

We only switched to https. We didn't actually move to another server or change IP addresses.

This sounds like a Firefox issue. I read that they recently started blocking all third-party cookies by default (https://venturebeat.com/2019/06/04/firefox-enhanced-tracking-protection-blocks-third-party-cookies-by-default/). I guess they want to make things more inconvenient for people when it comes to things like remembering their login details. This is why I switched to Google Chrome years ago and haven't looked back. Roboform also helps when it comes to remembering usernames and passwords.

I would try to clear all your temporary internet files/cookies, change your settings to allow all cookies (or at least our own domain, make sure to use the https version), close out the browser and try to log in again with the remember me box checked.

Thanks but I know how to manage cookies. Been doing it for years. I've also been using Netscape/Firefox since the 1990's. Not changing. I didn't have a problem until the http became https. I have accumulated hundreds of cookie exceptions over the years and the vast majority work fine.

I always block third party cookies. In fact, I block all cookies and just make exceptions for those sites I actually want to use. Sometimes I have to temporarily allow cookies for a short time for certain functions but then I switch back immediately. I don't know why this is a problem here. Maybe someone will be able to figure it out.

I wonder if you do. We haven't changed any of the cookie settings in years. Switching to https only required us to change the links within the control panel to https and to edit the .htaccess file to re-direct any of the http links to https.

There would be many others posting about issues if this was anything related to our server or software.

I've just tested it with a clean install of Firefox with the default settings. I see no issues going from page to page. Make sure you have both the https and www because if you go to sitcomsonline.com it will re-direct to www.sitcomsonline.com

Sites didnt load all the way as the browser was waiting for me to click YES OR NO for the cookies on that site so I just re-enabled first party.. (I had 3rd blocked then also)

Well, I have allowed several versions of cookies from the site and at least one of them seems to have worked. In the beginning just for a few minutes, then for longer, now it's back to the way it was before. I still don't allow any third party cookies or cookies in general, just exceptions from the websites I want to use that require them.

I had this problem, using the Macbook Pro. It's probably an "old" cookie which is matched to the http site--at least it was for me. Once I cleared all history and a new cookie was established, the problem cleared.

I've had to login 4 separate times today, and not only did I not leave the site, I've lost 2 log ins in mid-post! Something is really off.

Suddenly, this happened to me again, yesterday and today. I keep checking the remember me, to no avail.

Happened to me a few times last week. I just figured it was the site's way of saying "We don't cotton to your type around here"
