It has been announced that a revival of a GSN fan favorite as well as a favorite game show of mine has been revived and is slated to debut this fall. GSN's beloved game show classic Catch 21 will return with a new look and new style along with the traditional Catch 21 gameplay that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Once again Alfonso Ribeiro will return to host the Catch 21 revival and replacing original card dealer Mikki Padilla will be Witney Ford who was also Alfonso's dance partner on Dancing With The Stars. It will be interesting to see how good the Catch 21 revival will be because after such failures with the revivals of Chain Reaction and Lingo Catch 21's revival might be just what the doctor ordered for GSN. It is also not known when in the fall Catch 21's revival might premiere

I could never get into Catch 21, but hopefully it being revived means GSN will bring back The Chase with new episodes at some point. I don't think the Catch 21 revival will fare like Lingo or Chain Reaction did either. Lingo failed because Bill Engvall was a terrible replacement for Chuck Woolery. The host for Chain Reaction also changed, although I wouldn't consider Dylan Lane as integral to the show as Chuck was to Lingo. Catch 21 though has Alfonso Ribeiro returning as host, so all of his fans will come back.

the new Catch 21 should stay true to the original but it can succeed just like the original version were.

Catch 21 will debut October 14th on GSN so be sure to mark your calendars for this event

Hopefully once the new season of Catch 21 starts, the ratings of the show will succeed.

I saw the GSN preview for Catch 21 on Youtube and this version will look totally different than the original morning version which I used to see. The new version now features two teams of three contestants playing rather than two contestants and the show's official name will be The New Catch-21. All and all I hope it will be fun and i'm happy to see Alfonso back as the host. I wish GSN would air it in the original morning time though. We shall see October 14th

October 14th is finally here and the long anticipated debut of The New Catch 21 premieres today and to honor this special day all this week GSN is offering watchers a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas in a special contest that enables players to watch and win during this week's debut episodes of The New Catch 21. I only wish I could see it on Youtube but they don't have the debut episode up yet :( But I have a feeling it's gonna be great as the original version

How in the world did GSN ruin a favorite game show of mine? As Elizabeth Barrett Browning says "How do I love thee let me count the ways" I happened to see The New Catch-21 on Youtube and I can honestly say it is weak weak weak and unappealing. For one thing on the new bonus round I noticed that the contestants seem to win money real fast and there are tons of commercial breaks. Not to mention the purple set seems unappealing as well and the contestant podium is similar to the one from The Chase. The dealer Witney Ford seems okay but seems to be full of energy and giggle too much. Why I waited so long to see Catch-21 return this version is not worthy of watching at all. Stick with the morning reruns of the original version
