I noticed that, sometimes, Kelsey Grammar is in the opening credits, complete with character-like painting. I then see his name in the closing credits. Anyone know what's up with this?
Thanks.
Thanks.

View Full Version : Double credits for Kelsey? Janice 06-17-2002, 05:26 PM I noticed that, sometimes, Kelsey Grammar is in the opening credits, complete with character-like painting. Marvo301 06-17-2002, 06:32 PM When Kelsey Grammer was first hired to play Dr. Frasier Crane on Cheers the character was only intended to appear on the one episode. Therefore his name appeared in the end credits as a guest star. However the producers were so impressed with Kelseys performance they brought the character back on several more occasions each time crediting Kelsey as a guest star in the closing credits. After numerous such appearances the producer decided to make Frasier Crane a regular character on Cheers. From that time on Kelsey Grammer's name appeared in the opening credits with the rest of the regulars.;) TV Guy 06-17-2002, 07:03 PM When N@N got the show, the distributor (Paramount) remastered the episodes, including the opening credits. There are a few episodes where the wrong opening credits have been attached to an episode. For instance, I've seen a season 5 episode with season 4 opening credits attached. During the original run, Kelsey was billed in the opening, so for N@N's broadcast, Kelsey wasn't listed in the opening or closing. I've also seen an episode where season 5 credits were attached to a season 4 episode, so Kelsey was billed twice. FOLN@NFan 06-17-2002, 10:58 PM like TV Guy said, N@N shows a few remastered screwups w/ the themes. those eps. u saw were from season 4, when Kelsey wasnt supposed to be in the opening theme (just the end), but N@N, for the short themes only (not long ones for some weird reason), for a good last part of season 4 show the season 5 theme |
