I'M PROUD OF THE FACT THAT "BEWITCHED" DID WIN EMMYS DURING ITS RUN ON ABC. I THINK IT PICKED UP 3 EMMY AWARDS THROUGHOUT THE RUN OF THE SHOW. BUT IT IS A SHAME THAT ELIZABETH MONTGOMERY AND DICK YORK NEVER WON FOR THEIR EXCELLENT PERFORMANCES ON THE SHOW.

It is a shame that neither one of them won. The first 4 years of Bewitched were excellent. I am not a huge fan of 60's television in general. I thought many 60's sitcoms were poorly written and had little substance. However, Bewitched was an exception and did have an underlying theme while other shows of that era did not. DY and EM should have won emmy awards for their excellent portrayals as Sam and Darrin.

It was amazing that Elizabeth Montgomery, Dick York and Agnes Moorehead never won an Emmy for the series. Its also incredible that Dick York was only ever nominated ONCE!! The show won a few Emmy's along the way but really it deserved to win so many more. I'm glad Marion Lorne won one for playing Aunt Clara, it was a shame she didn't live to collect it though.
