After eight seasons as DJ Tanner on Full House from 1987-1995 and four more seasons as DJ Tanner-Fuller on Fuller House, Candace Cameron Bure is having a hard time believing she has to say goodbye (https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/candace-cameron-bure-doesn-apos-012656517.html) to the character and series.
After Netflix announced that Fuller House would be ending with its upcoming fifth season, the actress is opening up about wrapping up the show and giving audiences who have been following the characters for decades closure.
“I’m already prepared for the wrap, but I wish we weren’t wrapping. … I wish it were not our final season. I would do this show forever for the rest of my life,” she told Us Weekly. “Jodie [Sweetin], Andrea [Barber] and I joke that we’ll be coming back for Fullest House! We’ll be the Golden Girls of Full House. You never know!”
She also teased the final episodes will include some “crazy stuff” as well as some really “heartfelt moments.”
“It’s just going to wrap up and tie up loose ends with all the different relationships and characters,” the actress added. “I think the audience will be really happy to feel some closure at the end of this season with where everyone is at.”
Of course, that may not exactly be the end of the Full House franchise, as John Stamos has already admitted he has been working on ideas for another potential spinoff, this time he is thinking about a prequel about Danny, Jesse, and Joey’s lives before the death of Danny’s wife.
Candace Cameron Bure added that if there was any chance to be involved in the show even though her character wouldn’t be born yet, she would love to take part. “If there was another connection — producing it or something, then totally,” Bure said. “It just goes to show you how much we all love the franchise of Full House and what this show means to people.”
