Does anyone have the actual television premiere of Jaws recorded? I believe the date of the broadcast was 11/4/79 on ABC as the Sunday Night Movie.

There is a version circulating that was recorded from WLS-7 out of Chicago, Illinois that has been incorrectly labeled the 11/4/79 broadcast by some traders, but it is actually the October 1980 broadcast.

That said, does anyone have the original?

Let me check my Jaws airing. Cause I think I have two different ones.

I too have seen the 1980 airing incorrectly identified as 1979, but the only airings I have actually seen being traded are October 5, 1980 and July 20, 1986, both including the deleted and alternate scenes. I have both.

Interesting. Thanks. I was always curious if there were any differences between the broadcast premiere in 1979 and the subsequent rebroadcasts. Hopefully it will surface some day.
