I don't think you're the first to ask this. The random board is like Chit Chat but off the beaten path. More unconventional and random? At least that's how I see it :crazy:

Back in the day, Chit Chat was basically just general discussion that didn't pertain to any of the individual boards (like Sitcoms, Sports, Music, etc.) but all the threads still pertained to a certain topic.

Chit Chat - Random Posts came to be because groups of members from various Sitcom boards would start very lengthy threads just to talk, like in a chat room, about random things. Those threads were eventually moved to, and remain in Chit Chat - Random Posts. Over the past decade or so, there hasn't been a huge amount of this type of activity any longer.
