Let me try to explain. Mike Brady is presumably a wealthy enough of a man that he can afford a maid. He has six kids living in two bedrooms, sharing a single bathroom. His wife doesn’t work and yet the WORST argument that anyone has is that boys and girls are not treated equally on certain occasions.

I've never thought about it that way. What was Carol doing the whole time? Was she sharing responsibilities with Alice then? It's been awhile since I've see the show in full but kind of makes me wonder.

What exactly is or could be problematic? I am not really following what is being said in the discussion so far?

There were some episodes where the kids fought over the bathroom. I'm not sure what Carol did all day.

She might have sat in the kitchen and did crossword puzzles. I could see her sitting at the table with Alice having a cup of coffee.

I never thought about it before but it's problematic jamming 6 kids into 2 bedrooms, sharing a bath. There's probably an unseen bath on the first floor (otherwise what does Alice use?) and thinking about it, it's a good thing!
Bath and shower time would be a disaster, as would going to bed and getting up time.
