WarnerMedia's upcoming streaming service is said to be interested in following in the footsteps of Netflix's successful Fuller House reboot of the classic "TGIF" comedy Full House. "I hear the WarnerMedia streamer is eyeing reboots of other WBTV-produced classic TGIF comedies, like Step by Step, Perfect Strangers, its spinoff Family Matters, as well as Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper," according to Deadline's Nellie Andreeva. "Sources stressed that talks are in exploratory stages, and it’s unclear whether any of the potential revivals would come to fruition, but there is interest." As Andreeva points out, WarnerMedia sold streaming rights for its "TGIF" comedies to Hulu in 2017 -- 800 episodes that include Full House, Perfect Strangers, Family Matters, Step by Step and Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper. So WarnerMedia would have to wait for that deal to expire. Andreeva adds that "there has been a lot of fan enthusiasm about a reboot of Perfect Strangers," the "TGIF" comedy starring Mark Linn-Baker and Bronson Pinchot that aired from 1986 to 1993. "Reboots of signature Warner Bros sitcoms would be a nice bridge between WarnerMedia’s slate of originals and the extensive library of WBTV content where the Warner Bros comedy brand is expected to take center stage," adds Andreeva. "WarnerMedia executives already have said that they intend to make Friends exclusive to the new platform, pulling it from Netflix. As I reported in April, that also appears to be the plan for Seinfeld, currently in an exclusive SVOD deal at Hulu until 2021, with The Big Bang Theory repeats eventually joining them when its still-red-hot off-network run winds down." I would love to see this show come back! I would love to see if the two couples are still together and had anymore kids. Would the guys still be at the Chronicle and do the ladies still do the flight attendant job?

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. To me, it would've been great to see how the guys dealt with being single dads, in a way, considering how long the Mary-Anne and Jennifer would be away due to their jobs. Of course that never happened thanks to the complete and total dipstick who decided to pull the plug on this show way too early!!!

There wasn't one dipstick that decided to cancel the show. I read a youtube reply from a very informed fan who knew what was going on at the time that the show was losing viewers over later seasons and the network decided to kill off the show by changing the night the show aired. they eventually put it on Friday nights and then they ran out of stories to tell. If you'll notice there are a lot of repetitive plots like balki and larry move the piano up flights of stairs to help Lydia or Balki and Larry help move a sofa up to Weignright's office using an elevator. Another is the tv show they were mimicking like Honeymooners or Laurel and Hardy.

I am very glad to hear they are considering bringing back the show because I really do miss them. I still try to learn new information about the show each year while I watch the reruns and interviews Bronson, Mark, and the girls did that revealed so much information that no one knew about the show.

^^^ Whoever thought that there was nothing more to tell about the characters is crazy. My previous message has what I think would've been a great idea. With Mary-Anne and Jennifer having to travel a lot because of their jobs, we could've seen how things would've gone for Larry, Balki, and the babies back at home.

God bless you always!!!

Wouldn't the kids be about 28 years old by now?

^^^ The kids would be 26 since the show ended in 1993.

God bless you always!!!

Which means Balki and Larry would not be able to raise the kids as children right now maybe as grandparents.

^^^ If the show was to be brought back, we could see the characters the way that they are now which is how Fuller House was done as well as the other show that John Stamos did not too long ago named Grandfathered. We can see the two Perfect Strangers couples become grand parents as their boys become parents themselves. Bronson, even though 60 is his age now, in my opinion, doesn't look old enough to be a grand parent. :) :) :)

God bless you and him and John always!!!

I still remember the episode where Larry was with his grandfather Buzz and Balki said that on Mypos we treat our parents as if they were young to teach them to do things that give them vitality and our children as if they were old to help them gain wisdom.

^^^ That is from one of my favorite episodes. I love when Balki comes out of his room in his night clothes with Dimitri underneath his arm after Larry beat on his bed room door with a golf club. Larry was like, "You couldn't sleep either?" I couldn't blame Balki for wanting to strangle him which is what he most definitely should've done after Larry not only sat on him, but then pinched him after hearing Balki snore.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. I love when Balki then went onto say that after a little wine, Buzz and his girlfriend were probably playing Donkey Kong at the all night video arcade. :D :D :D

Oh, man. I'd love to see a reboot. It was great seeing that spoof Perfect Strangers episode on Jimmy Kimmel a few years ago.
