View Full Version : Alice leaving TNN Friday
Madness 01-18-2001, 01:36 AM This Friday is the last day of Alice on TNN. A new schedule will start Monday with WKRP, Taxi, Newhart and the Wonder Years. I think Alice should stay on because it's a great show. But I do like some of the new shows and I agree with them adding them. If anyone else thinks that Alice should stay on, call the TNN toll free number and voice your opinion...1-888-POP-1090.
What a shame. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif

ThomasE 01-18-2001, 03:29 AM When I read the TNN article, I tried to find out if Alice was leaving and come to find out it is. This is a good show and I think they should continue to air it.
IGNTBone 01-20-2001, 02:02 AM While I do love the TV show Alice (I saw it ever since E! aired it), I have to say that nothing else really good ever aired on TNN, except for Extreme Championship Wrestling back in the 'old school' days.
TNN really screwed themselves over when letting go of that one, lemme tell ya. At least I was on one of those episodes, in the audience. I have both the TV version, and the uncut live taping.
E-C-DUB! E-C-DUB! E-C-DUB!
ThomasE 01-20-2001, 03:11 AM TNN and Nick are neighboring networks. TNN is getting Nicks shows. That's like borrowing a cup of sugar from your neighbor. Nick should borrow Alice. Both networks have a connection since the President of Nick's network is also the president of TNN. Imagine Dallas being part TV Land's fandemonium.(Dallas aired on TNN)
Madness 01-20-2001, 03:42 AM I think Alice on Nick-at-Nite would be a great idea! You never know. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
boechsner 01-20-2001, 09:22 PM An even better idea, Dallas on TV Land!
Brett Ferino 01-21-2001, 01:28 AM I wonder if Dallas still airs every so often on TNN..
Alice and the Real McCoys will likley turn up on N@N or tv land because they are owned by the same company. PAX was supposed to air Alice when the network premired but it never came through maybe theyll decide to buy Alice. A good idea anyhow.
chriszme 01-21-2001, 04:58 AM email TNN at questions@country.com
Let them know there is still an interest in having Alice on TNN!
Pax is awful at showing programs. On there message boards, people call them P(AX).
Pavan 01-21-2001, 12:43 PM I REALLY think TV Land will show Alice soon...
Hope tv land shows it in the morning. Then they wont use those awlfull split credits at the end which would inturupt the music.
GOLDENGIRLS 01-22-2001, 01:50 PM Im sure that "Alice" will show up on Nick
at Nite or TVland soon. I think it would
be better off that Alice either on Nick at Nite or
Tvland cuz Tvland run around the clock all
day and all nights and Nick at Nite start
at 730pm til 5am central time.

chriszme 01-23-2001, 09:42 PM Let's Hope NOT, TVLand and Nick at Nite treat shows like crap.
TNN is the better place for it!

I agree with that comment.
Madness 01-24-2001, 03:23 AM I'd just be happy if it showed up again. I don't care where as long as it comes back.
GOLDENGIRLS 01-24-2001, 04:33 PM Yes but Tvland or Nick at Nite show twice or three times a day. 7 days week. Tnn only show once Mon-fri that they have new line up that I check on TNN's schedule web.Tnn has paid programming after 12am til 8am central time. I prefer that Alice on in the evening. Cuz most
people has to work or school during the day. Il just stick with Nick or Tvland (no paid programming) Nick-nite is getting better night time program line up.
That reason why I prefer Nick or Tvland. I like to watch "Three Company" on Nick at Nite.

I agree with that comment.
I am glad someone does. I like to hear and read the end names. Everyone should have this choice to hear it, not that it is taken away by talking over it or squeezing it up, So the channel can squeeze in more paying commercials to benefit them.
So what if TNN has paid programs at night?
Most people sleep at night and those paid commercials are what gives us good shows in very clean format from beginning to end.
When Alice was on at 3:30pm all you have to do is tape it and watch it at night or whenever you want too.
I have one of those Tivo things and it will tape anything I want and I can watch anytime I want too.
I find Nick at Nite and TVLand, very uncaring and rude.
When I have written to those two channels I get very rude answers or form letters, which tell me nothing.
When I have written TNN, I get polite replys and what is on screen is not all screwed up with un-needed junk.
The programmers at Tv Land need their Heads examined...
Freakzilla 01-29-2001, 12:21 AM To give you all some hope about seeing Alice on TNN again, I have some news. I read on one of those newsgroups that The Wonder Years is moving to Fox Family in September. So in a few months, TNN will have take that show off. When that time comes, maybe they'll put an hour of Alice on at 11 a.m., between Newhart and Taxi.
GOLDENGIRLS 01-29-2001, 09:37 AM TNN is putting all of three Star Treks in the falls Star Trek Next Generation
Star Trek deep space 9 and Star Trek Voyager
from what I read in newspaper. I dont
know if they have room for Alice time slot.
P.S I have all of Alice's 202 episoded on vcr
when they were use to be on at 5pm central year ago so I didnt have to watch at 330 eexcpt on holiday or day off.

chriszme 02-04-2001, 06:15 PM Just The Next Generation is coming in this year. The others in a few years.
They have room for One episode of Alice a day!
GOLDENGIRLS 02-05-2001, 09:47 AM As long as they can put "Alice" in the evening time slot too.
Hate Full Man 02-21-2001, 04:29 AM I think it's wrong that they did this. I'm madder than heck right now! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/mad.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/mad.gif
corwayn2 03-07-2001, 08:03 PM I think ALICE would make for a great Fandemonium Weekend marathon, on TV Land
Alice fan 08-05-2001, 03:13 PM Where can we go to sign a petition to bring the show back?
Madness 08-05-2001, 06:17 PM No petition as of yet I don't think but you can call and e-mail TNN!

that Flo will be on TNN too.
