No,they spun off The Ropers because they thought the show would do well.They made a wise choice in managing to get Don Knotts,although in my opinion the Ropers were slightly better than him on Three's Company,and I have always been a big Don Knotts fan.And by the way your English is very good.

Thanks! I like both, the Ropers and Mr. Furley but I prefer the Ropers on Three's Company. Too bad they were not able to return, they could resume their landlords role and Mr. Furley the building manager. The Ropers worked better as supporting characters than leads.

I've often thought the same thing.They should have let the Ropers return and still kept Mr. Furley.

NO WAY the producers were going to shell out THAT kind of money to keep ALL 3! Remember Don Knotts was an A list star back then.
