It just interests me how I said elsewhere less than a few hundred yards away from "Mayberry" was a 1960's southern california world that was filled drugs, violence and depravity. I've always wondered how Andy Griffith or any cast/production crew member felt coming to or leaving the AGS/Mayberry idyllic world and facing 1960's Los Angeles and how much better life in fictional Mayberry was as they were trying to portray it as per Andy Griffith's vision of Mount Airy North Carolina.

Here's an incredible pic showing the "magic of Hollywood" showing Thelma Lou's home in reality was just simply a private home less than 50ft from the studio where they shot all the interior scenes onthe AGS.
