I was driving home from work the other night and just started randomly humming TV theme songs.

There are so many TV theme songs anywhere from Sitcoms Cartoons game shows and Westerns and etc.

Does anyone know if there is a radio station that it’s format is TV theme songs?

Would you think this format would be successful?

Unless there's an internet station with this format I'm not aware of one and I doubt it would last long if there were.

actually that did happen over 20 years ago on some radio station they played tv theme songs for the hole weekend not sure why sure made me happy. it only happend one time i think it was either for the hole weekend or just for one night

Now that I think about it we had a Classic radio station that played The Mary Tyler Moore & The Bob Newhart Show & Taxi & Moonlighting theme songs a few years ago. They also had a segment called Stupid criminals and they introduced it by using The Three Stooges intro.

On occasion I will still hear Match game music & Married With Children & The Wonder Years & Life Goes On & Get A Life theme songs & The Jefferson’s & Sanford and Son & FRIENDS & The Andy Griffith Show & some Monkee’s songs every now in again.However with The Monkee’s it’s never the theme song it’s one of there other songs.

I would think this type of format would be successful.Due to the success of people like us who love pop culture and TV. Plus all the Classic TV Stations.In addition people putting there favorite TV theme songs on you tube and you have to guess the TV theme song to the correct show.

I remember at one time people said they knew The Brady Bunch theme song better than the National Anthem.

PS I remember a few Holiday Seasons ago the radio played National Lampoons Christmas Vacation Theme Music. Although it’s been years since I’ve heard it on the radio during the Holiday Season.
