It was on the revival of "Make Room for Daddy". Uncle Tounouse thinks he's dying, and consoles himself by saying, "At least no more 'My Mother the Car'."
-- Right, it's not a great joke, but "My Mother the Car" wasn't a great show.

For the past few years I was watching all episodes of M.Rm.4 Dada, once a week every week till I saw them all. A real testament to my determination to see that series to the very bitter end. It's funny, after watching that final painful episode of Danny that was my exact same sentiment. That series the last few years became as unfunny and unwatchable as the gosh-awful Joey Bishop Show (another Danny "winner" where the subject of the program is treated as some sort of deity that must be worshiped and constantly praised:rolleyes:).
After all that Danny My Mother The Vehicle would be a very welcome respite. At least this show has something in it to look forward to each week besides a "star" that thinks his s__t don't stink, the color and '60's atmosphere to say the least.

The Joey Bishop Show isn't bad but everyone has their opinion. Each season has it's share of good episodes but my favorite season overall is season 3.
My Mother The Car? It's OK, probably the most outlandish of the 1960's fantasy sitcoms. The episodes are good for a few chuckles here and there.

In an episode of Get Smart, Max and 99 are pretending to be gangsters to trick a dying gangster to into telling them where he hid all the money he stole. At one point in the episode he asked them that when he's about to die they should tell him that My Mother The Car is coming back. When they ask why he says "So I won't mind going."
