The British broadcast channel is making it a requirement that all of the networks' commissioned shows have female writers. "I won’t commission anything with an all-male writing team,” said ITV head of comedy Saskia Schuste.

British TV has lost its mind. All about quotas and agendas now. They don't seem to choose the best available scripts (see last season of Dr. Who for example) but who fits a quota and pushes the political agenda. As far as I'm concerned "Doctor Who" is done and dead to me, and I actually adapted quite easily to the female Doctor. What got me was the pious, smarmy sermonizing and non-nonsensical scripts that essentially just fizzled out with no real sense of conclusion. I pray this does not come to US television. Just let the best writer's write I don't care who they are in any other respect.

This is why virtually all TV sucks now. It has nothing to do with entertainment. It's all propaganda.
