By worst I mean what is a joke or a line from a sitcom that you found unfunny.

Sitcoms are hit and miss and not all of the jokes in an episode land.

Any and every joke ever told by Drew Carrey or Wanda Sykes.

In many classic sitcoms you pretty much always see that dumb joke where a character is surprised to see someone unexpectedly come home and they ask--

"What are you doing here?!"

"I LIVE here!"

And the audience roars with laughter while I cringe.

I never found that little exchange amusing but so many sitcoms pulled it to roaring laughter from the audience. It's a head scratcher to me.

I don't watch modern TV and now wondering if it's still done.

"Hi! My name is Larry! This is my brother, Darryl. This is my other brother, Darryl."

I absolutely hated this joke on Newhart. So unfunny, and yet the audience would howl with laughter every single time it was said. The joke was so bad, I actually started "hate watching" Newhart because of it. :p

I thought that whole show was unfunny, but that line got old really fast.

Well I liked Newhart until they added Larry, Daryl, and Darryl to the cast. They were so annoying and creepy.

They even made a cameo appearance on the Coach series finale (that show came from the same writers), where the brothers had been living under Hayden's Minnesota house since he moved to Orlando.

It was...which is why I was shocked as hell that it pulled off one the best, most talked about finales in TV history. It almost makes me wonder if the writers made it deliberately cheesy the entire time knowing full well how they were going to end it.

Just remembered a joke that I couldn't stand, an episode of South Park where Al Gore keeps saying, "I'm serial," instead of "I'm serious."
