It wasn't that great to begin with. What probably killed it to begin with was the large cast and the period setting. And yes, I'm well aware that ABC also has The Goldbergs, Schooled, and Fresh off the Boat, but I figure that there would be more present viewers who "remembered" (or are immediately nostalgic) the '80s and '90s than the early '70s. But with The Kids Are Alright (https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/93402-tkaa-officially-cancelled/page/3/#comments), even with the period setting, I don't think that they could get any music rights so there was no music. It took place in 1972 but you would never know it. |
