Chances are if you were a teenage girl growing up you probably had posters of Donny Osmond as a teen idol and he was probably one of your crushes when you were a teen but what fans of Donny Osmond don't realize is that he hosted a game show in syndication in 2002 and to parody the lyrics of a Donny Osmond hit that was a Paul Anka song "And they called it Pyramid". You see Donny Osmond hosted a remake of Pyramid that was a well done version of The $100,000/25,000 Pyramid and was a huge hit in syndication. Debuting the same year as Who Wants To Be A Millionaire's syndicated version Pyramid might've had some serious competition in the game show world. Some of the celebrities that made appearences on Pyramid to play with contestants were Alison Sweeney CCH Pounder and others. Despite excellent promotion including a contestant search tour called the Pyramid City Sweep and a board game version of the show Pyramid the show was cancelled but reruns of Pyramid aired on GSN for a short time. In fact Pyramid was so popular that on an episode of the sitcom Friends Joey gets a chance to play Pyramid as a contestant. If there's any version of this classic show you must see Donny's Osmond's Pyramid is well worth the watch
